‘The Other Two’ Releases Season 2 Trailer, Proves Gayness Remains Unabated

by Mark Durane

After two-and-a-half long years, comedy sensation The Other Two finally returns with its second season. Now on HBO Max, the 10-episode season premieres with back-to-back episodes August 26. But until then, we’ll have to make do with the brand-new trailer that reassures us nothing has truly altered who siblings Brooke and Cary are.

Season 1 ended with their pop star brother ChaseDreams announcing retirement plans and his intention to attend college, while their mother Pat (the incomparable Molly Shannon) ended up on a billboard in Times Square announcing her new talk show. Season 2 picks up sometime later, with Pat’s show a hit and Brooke and Cary navigating their new relationship to fame. They may be drinking Champagne on a plane, but they’ve got someone’s feet in their faces while they do it.

Watch the trailer below, and if you haven’t yet streamed Season 1, do so immediately. There are few shows that can pull off Terri Schiavo and Call Me Be Your Name jokes, and The Other Two owns them both.
