Guy Spencer: From Twitter Handle to Porn Stardom

Guy Spencer might be a fresh face in the adult film industry, but his journey has been anything but ordinary. From picking a stage name inspired by a reality TV character he hated to navigating his first studio shoot, Guy sat down with us to chat about his career, self-image, and what’s next.

TGG: Let’s start with your stage name: How did you choose ‘Guy Spencer’?
Guy Spencer: “When I first started all this back in September, I didn’t even think I’d be doing studio content. I just needed a catchy Twitter handle, so I came up with ‘ThatHungTallGuy.’ It worked, but it was a mouthful. When it came time to choose a stage name, I realized ‘Guy’ was already in the handle, and there aren’t that many Guys in porn. Then ‘Spencer’…well, that’s a name I used to give guys when I was younger when I didn’t want them to know my real name.

TGG: Do you remember why you chose ‘Spencer’ as your alias back then?
GS: It’s kind of funny, it doesn’t really make sense, but I picked it because I didn’t know anyone named Spencer at the time. Also, The Hills was really popular, and I hated that guy Spencer so much. I guess that made it easy to use the name without any personal associations.

TGG: So, you started recently. When did you officially enter the porn industry?
GS: My first studio shoot was with Carnal in November. But I started my Twitter, BlueSky, OnlyFans, and JustForFans accounts in August, though I didn’t begin posting until September. I hit the ground running since I live in Los Angeles and know a ton of content creators. I reached out to guys I trusted for advice, and in October, Jason Sparks contacted me about doing studio work. Around the same time, LeGrand Wolf slid into my DMs, and I basically died from excitement before coming back to life to respond. I told him, “Have I died and gone to porn heaven?” I had no idea they were both part of Carnal. The next day, someone from Carnal asked how soon I could shoot my first scene, and I was like, “I’m available.” They flew me out the next week and offered me exclusivity after that first shoot. I was so in love with the experience that I said yes immediately.

TGG: Did the idea of exclusivity make you hesitate at all?
GS: Not really. I’ve been a fan of LeGrand’s work for years. I actually considered doing porn when I was 18, but I was in Colorado, and opportunities were slim. So, I put it on the back burner and pursued different careers. Last year, I was job hunting, and everything in my previous fields felt uninspiring. That’s when I decided to commit to porn, though I initially thought it would be just OnlyFans. Studio work wasn’t even on my radar. When the opportunity with Carnal came up, it just felt right.

TGG: Was it a hard decision to enter the industry?
GS: I sat with it for about two weeks. For two years, my friends had been joking that I should just start an OnlyFans. I’d always reply, “Well, I’d have at least two subscribers, so that’s something!” But the real shift happened last year when I went to Haulover Beach in Miami, a nude beach. That experience changed me. I realized I didn’t care if I was naked online. I had always worried my nudes would leak, but after that trip, I was like, “Actually, I want them to leak.”

TGG: How do you feel about your body? 
GS: I used to be super skinny, being 6’7” and trying to build muscle is hard. But in 2018, I dedicated myself to eating more and working out. I gained 25 pounds, and that was life-changing. I finally looked in the mirror and liked what I saw. But I’m a gay man in LA, so of course, I have some body dysmorphia (lol). I’ve worked on it, though, and while I’m not where I want to be, I can push those thoughts aside much more easily now.

TGG: Did outside pressure make you feel insecure about your body?
GS: Not as an adult, but growing up, yeah. I was always told, “You’re so tall, so skinny, you need to eat more.” But as I got older, I realized, “Oh, I am actually really skinny,” and I wanted to change that.

TGG: Does your family know about your work?
GS: Not yet. Right now, everything is so new and exciting, I want to keep that energy. I don’t feel the need to tell them right now.”

TGG: Outside of porn, what are your interests?
GS: I love technology. I’ve been obsessed with Apple since I was 21. I also love filming and editing… creating visually engaging content. Beyond that, I enjoy painting, photography, and being outdoors. Oh, and I’m actually taking classes now to develop a new app. I have some unique ideas, and I’d love to create something for the gay dating scene.

TGG: Any dream scene partners or fantasies?
GS: LeGrand was my ultimate, and I checked that off the list! I also wanted to film with Damien Grey, and I got to do that last month. As for dream scenarios, I love outdoor sex. Something in nature, like those Carnal cabin-in-the-woods scenes, would be amazing. And I’d love to do a gaycest scene; be the dad or the uncle. That’d be super hot.

TGG: Do you have a specific type of man you’re into?
GS: Nope. All races, all ages. Though, I do love shorter guys. That’s why I’m perfect for Fun-Size Boys at Carnal. I love walking into a bar, spotting a guy under 5’5” staring up at me, and just giving him a little wink like, “Yeah, I see you, and I want you.”

TGG: Anything else you’d like to share?
GS: Just that I’m loving this journey, and I’m excited to see where it takes me. Porn has opened up so many creative opportunities, and I’m just embracing it all!”
