Life as an Only Fans content creator just got a lot harder.
In addition to delayed payouts, shifting rules and regulations thanks to mainstream celebrities abuse of the site, and just the general hustle of creating (and editing and watermarking and uploading) custom content for subscribers comes word that the site will no longer support any content created in a public place.
This extends to anything that is “recorded in or is being broadcast from a public place where members of the public are reasonably likely to see the activities being illustrated,” according to the terms of service.
That’s right, one of the most popular sub genres of porn (and one of the most easily executed) will no longer be allowed on Only Fans. Having sex in a parked car in a parking garage? Get outta here! These new rules leave professional creators in a bind: Do they shift all of their attention to one of the OF competitors, like JustFor.Fans? Do they shrug and make do?
As with most things, look for lots of complaining but no real action. Convincing OF subscribers to follow you to another platform is a Herculean task that may or may not pay off. Not to mention that most creators have probably not diversified their platforms, so they’d need to create new profiles and upload content all over again. So until something better comes along, creators will keep spreading their content across multiple sites in the theory that a wide net catches more fish.
