Is Creaming in Gay Porn About to Go Mainstream?

by Mark Durane

Porn star PhatRabbitKiller has been using Merriam Webster’s word of the day in tweets for the last several months. Recently he tweeted, “squared up like beef. breathing hard biting my lip. his lips poked out like a kiss but it was his bootyhole. I’m gripping buttcheeks enamored by the #pulchritude of his now gaping void. a well of cream pooled inside him contrasting the pinkness of his guts. I slid back in #wotd.”

His tweets often reference creaming, which may seem like dirty talk but is actually a fairly common phenomenon with bottoming, as BuzzFeed explores in a new feature.

As the article primly explains, “While creaming can occur in straight sex, creaming in the context of gay porn is when the bottom, the performer in the receptive position, produces a translucent, sometimes white, substance from their anus, a reaction to the pleasure they’re experiencing from the top, the insertive partner.”

Creaming has long been a part of Black gay porn stars’ repertoire, but has only recently been seen in studio work. As for its popularity within the Black porn community, porn editor and all-around cool dude Tolliver tells BuzzFeed, “When you’re editing white porn performers, if they cream, it’s not super visible. But I think in Black porn it’s like even more prized because, if I’m being very frank, that kind of thing is going to show up on our dicks more. It adds a level of visual stimulation.”

Of course, doctors are here to bust boners. Dr. Evan Goldstein, the man behind Future Method, points out that creaming may sometimes be the result of an STI the bottom doesn’t know he has. Or it may be because over douching or aging has caused that mucus gland in the anus to over manufacture.

Or maybe, as PhatRabbitKiller says, a top can make his bottom cream “because you’re a dick-throwing master.”

Here’s another boner bust for you: As a consumer of gay bareback porn for over 20 years now, I can attest that if creaming goes “mainstream” now, it will be the result of studios using cum-like lube to stretch one video shoot into four or five scenes with three or four or more fake orgasms. Fake cream is the scourge of the industry in my opinion, but I guess subscribers tolerate it enough that no backlash is forthcoming. But if a studio that I trusted (not many of those left) seemed to involve bottoms getting fucked into froth from time to time, I would be all for it.
