Do you ever think about how reliant you are on the moods of writers and editors? Stories boil down to taste. If the features editor happens to see an advance screening of a movie and loves it, you’re likely to see a lot of coverage of that film. And so you should ask yourself: Is your old friend Tony writing about this new Boys Smoking release because it’s hot, or because he hasn’t had a cigarette in 50 days?
Both can be true.
